People's Republic of China currently maintains one Embassy in Washington
D.C., five Consulates-General in the following U.S. cities: New York,
NY; Chicago, IL; San Francisco, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Houston, TX.
Chinese Embassy and Consulates in
the United States do not accept visa applications directly by mail. If
you mail your application to the Chinese Embassy and Consulate, your
passport will be returned .

must either present your application in person, submit it through a
