Send your love to China Earthquake Survivors!  “1000 Warm Wishes Quilts”

On May 12, 2008, an earthquake registering a magnitude of 7.9 devastated many cities in China’s Sichuan province.   As of June 10, the death toll is nearly 70,000.  17,516 are missing, and more than 15 million people have been displaced from their homes.

How We Can Help

We contacted the Sichuan Provincial Civil Affairs to offer our help and were informed that

Earthquake Survivors are in desperate need of warm bedding.  One senior victim made a heart-wrenching comment that he can get by with a bowl of noodle, but in the mountains where they are, it gets cold at night.  The “1000 Warm Wishes Quilts” program has set a goal of donating 1000 quilt sets to those in need including seniors, adults, teenagers and children.

What is the “1000 Warm Wishes Quilts”?

Our goal is to donate 1000 quilt comforter sets to China Earthquake Survivors to show the love and concern from the American people.

Donation item:  “1000 Quilt” comforter set.  Each set will include: one quilt, one

pillow with case, one cotton padded mattress and one sheet.

Cost per comforter set: $30 USD

Goal:  $30 x 1000 = $30,000

“May this quilt from your American friends keep you warm and warm your hearts with courage to rebuild your life, family and community.”

This message in Chinese will be included with each quilt set.

**Or you may want to e-mail your wish to info@MingsChina.com to be included in the quilt set. Your wish (message only) will be read and cherished by the fortunate person who receives the quilt set**
