Student Sponsorship Program

This project involves the Board of Education of Shuangyashan, Heilongjiang Province, where all these students are from. It is located in the northeast part of China, close to Russia, about 24 hours by train from Beijing. Sixteen students are now being sponsored by 15 American families. One hundred percent of donations received will serve as a scholarship for these top performing students, all of whom live below the poverty level. The Board of Education of the City of Shuangyashan has set up an official account for this project through Malama International. All money will go to the students themselves, who will sign and date the receipt, which will also bear the signature of their teachers.
