Flushing Chinatown is the biggest,
wealthiest Chinatown in NYC surpassing Manhattan's Chinatown, with a
supporting regional cast of restaurants, everything from Taiwanese pork
chops and Cantonese Dim Sum to an epidemic of bubble tea shops and a
street cart scene dominated by Xinjiang lamb kebabs. Our tour begins
with a sit-down brunch at an authentic Chinese restaurant. Food will be
preordered to reflect the specialties of that restaurant. We’ll stroll
along the streets of Flushing Chinatown, where residents and merchants
banter in foreign tongues, and the characters that make up Asian
alphabets decorate storefront signs. We will then take you to the
area’s largest Asian grocery store to learn and identify products from
behind their exotic packaging. Continue the tour to Flushing Mall, where
we will sample the best northern style dumplings and hand stretched
noodles from Northwest region, Lanzhou. Spend your time like a local Chinese
resident and immerse yourself in a completely different culture!
